The number of homes sold and pended during the months of September, October and November 2009 increased by 16% according to a review of BLD listing service market data. Average sales price increased by 2% while median price rose by 4%. The number of new listings – competition for those already on the market – dropped 5%. These stats combined reflected an increased in sales volume of 19% and a 31% increase in number of units sold during the same period last year.
In total, these data sets are intended to be a snapshot of the market, providing information down to a county level in some cases. The data was pulled from the BLC® listing service on December 15. MIBOR
